Asset Roles

Roles help Studio understand how to use an asset. Use the closest available role when uploading source material.

Upload Files

  1. Open a campaign or project.
  2. Use the upload/drop area or upload action.
  3. Select the file or drag it into the dropzone.
  4. Choose an asset role when prompted.
  5. Wait for the upload to appear in the asset list.
  6. Preview the asset before using it in a generation.

Attach Campaign Assets To A Project

  1. Open the project prompt dock.
  2. Open the input assets area.
  3. Choose campaign assets to attach.
  4. Confirm the assets are compatible with the selected output type.
  5. Generate.

Immich Storage

Secant Studio uses Immich as a durable media storage layer. In normal user terms: Studio keeps local project records and uses Immich-backed media identities for storage, preview, and reuse where configured.

StateMeaning
SyncedThe asset has a remote Immich identity and should be available for preview/download through the storage path.
Stored in Studio onlyThe file exists in Studio storage but has not been synced to Immich.
Upload issueStudio saved the file locally, but Immich could not receive the upload. Try again or ask an admin to check storage configuration.
Remote access issueThe remote asset reference exists but cannot currently be accessed.
Remote asset missingThe remote asset appears missing or deleted.

Phone And Camera Assets

Phone uploads should appear as Camera assets only when they are associated with the current campaign or project. The Camera tab is not meant to show every image in the Immich library.

Audio Storage Note

Generated or uploaded audio may be wrapped into an MP4 container for Immich compatibility. This does not mean the asset is a video creatively; it means the storage layer can handle it reliably. Studio can restore wrapped audio for video composition workflows.
